Lord Sri Manikyamba Sametha Sri Bhimeswara Swami Temple of Draksharama

These are the images of  Pocket card of Lord Sri Manikyamba Sametha Sri Bhimeswara Swami Temple of Draksharama.

Lord Sri Manikyamba Sametha Sri Bhimeswara Swami Temple of Draksharama is one of the Pancharama temple (five arama temples) of Lord Shiva.

According to spiritual history Daksha prajapathi performing a yagna and he did not inform the same to his son-in-law Lord Shiva. But Goddess Parvathi went to his father's residence to watch the yajna and at that time Daksha prajapathi blames Lord Shiva and scolded Goddess Parvathi. For that reason Goddess Parvathi became very angry and she sank in the yajna fire. After that Lord Shiva heard this and sent Lord Bhairava to destroy the yajna and also instruct him to kill Daksha. Accordingly Bhairava killed Daksha but after the request of wife of Daksha Prajapathi Lord Shiva gave the life to Daksha Prajapathi with the face of a Goat. 

The above story taken in the place of this temple. After that Lord Shiva dance with the immortal body of his wife with angry. Then Lord Vishnu destroy the body of Goddess Sathidevi (Parvathi devi). Lord Vishnu broke the body with his Vishnu Chakra and the body of Goddess Sathisdevi fell into 18 different parts of India and Nepal. These 18 places were called as "ASHTADASA SAKTHIPEETHALU".  In Draksharama Goddess Manikyamba is one of the 18 Sakthipeethas i.e. one part of the Goddess fell in this temple location.

Pancharamalu(Pancha=Five
Aaramalu=Living places)
These are one of the important
Shiva peethas in South India.
These are situated in Andhra Pradesh.
The five places include:
1. Ksheeraraama at Palakollu.
2. Amararaama at Amaravathi.
3. Draksharaama at Draksharamam
4. Kumararaama at Samalkot.
5. Somaraama at Gunupudi Bhimavaram.
These five temples occupy a special place in
Indian Temples of Lord Shiva.
The spiritual significance of these places is said based on different facts mentioned in varous puranas like Siva purana and Skanda purana.
One of the important facts aboutthese places lies in their common origin. All the Shiva lingas in these five places have taken their origin from A single Linga that was worshipped and worn by Tarakasura who was a great shiva bhakta.

Sri Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralayam

This is the pocket card of Sri Raghavendra Swamy vari Brindavanam of Mantralayam temple. Mantralayam situated in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh which is the border of Karnataka state.
